Marijuana Use in Older Adults May Be an Overlooked Risk Factor for Dementia and Other Conditions

Two studies found a spike in Marijuana use among older adults. The first study out of California linked past-month use to clinical conditions such as diabetes and heart disease, among other outcomes. The second study found that as alarming association between increased marijuana-related emergency visits and hospitalizations with a higher risk of future dementia diagnoses.
