Are you interested in attending the 2024 UN Civil Society Conference in Nairobi, Kenya on May 9-10? If so, the Vienna NGO Committee on Drugs (VNGOC) is offering a unique funding opportunity to support 2-3 civil society representatives to join in person.
In order to be eligible for funding, you must meet the following criteria:
- Affiliated with a non-governmental organization and working on drug-related issues
- Successfully registered for the conference (register here)
- Preference will be given to individuals based in low- and middle-income countries on the OECD DAC List of ODA Recipients and representatives of indigenous and other relevant groups
- Preference will be given to individuals representing VNGOC members in good standing

About the 2024 UN Civil Society Conference
In preparation for the Summit of the Future (happening in September), the 2024 UN Civil Society Conference, scheduled for May 9-10 in Nairobi, Kenya, will center on discussions related to the summit. The Vienna NGO CommitteeFunding Opportunity – UN Civil Society Conference in Nairobi on Drugs successfully applied to establish an ImPACT Coalition for the conference, focusing on amplifying drug policy perspectives.
Under the banner “The Future of Drug Policy – Civil Society Perspectives on Addressing the World Drug Situation,” this coalition will leverage insights from the Global Civil Society Report and its recommendations to contribute meaningfully to the discourse.
