We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of our dear friend, longtime board member, and current board vice chair, Wendy Danicourt. Since joining the DFAF Board in 2018, she brought steady leadership, sharp insight, and an unwavering commitment to our mission of protecting families and communities.
Wendy devoted her entire career to strengthening public health systems, expanding access to care, and building organizations that truly serve people. Her work, spanning behavioral health, digital health innovation, accreditation, and community impact, helped countless individuals receive the support they needed to heal, recover, and thrive.
What set Wendy apart was not only her expertise but her heart. She was compassionate, mission-driven, and fearless in standing up for what mattered. Her voice at our table was wise, generous, and grounded in decades of real-world experience. DFAF was better because of her, stronger, smarter, and more focused on the people we serve.
We are grateful for her years of service, for her belief in our mission, and for the legacy she leaves behind in public health and in the lives she touched. We extend our deepest condolences to her husband, family, and all who loved her.
Wendy made a difference. We honor her, and we will miss her dearly.
