IRB Study #008887     Healing Through Art: Share Your Story, Change the Stigma

Drug Free America Foundation has partnered with The University of South Florida (USF) to conduct PhotoVoice groups in the St. Petersburg community to address the stigma surrounding opioid use disorder and to educate the community about recovery. We are looking for interested individuals with lived experience of opioid use disorder as well as allies (family members, treatment providers, and other allies of people with lived experience with opioid use disorder) to participate in these groups, which will involve taking photographs and creating narratives about these photographs, discussing them in a group setting, and using these photographs and narratives in community events to address stigma and community understanding of opioid use disorder and recovery. Please see the fliers below for further details. If you are interested in participating in this important advocacy project, please contact study coordinator Mykenzie King at mykenzieking@usf.edu, click the sign up link above, or scan the QR code on the attached fliers to complete the study eligibility questionnaire.
