This year’s gala continues the remarkable legacy of Ambassador Mel Sembler and Mrs. Betty Sembler, whose vision and leadership established Drug Free America Foundation as a national leader in prevention, education, and advocacy.
For decades, their unwavering dedication has inspired communities, influenced public policy, and strengthened efforts to prevent substance misuse while supporting recovery for individuals and families. Their commitment continues to guide DFAF’s mission and serves as the foundation for the work we do every day.

An Evening to Remember
The evening begins with an exclusive VIP Reception and Silent Auction at 5:30 PM, where guests can connect with fellow community leaders and bid on an exciting collection of unique experiences, artwork, sports memorabilia, and other exceptional auction items.
At 6:30 PM, guests will enjoy an elegant dinner followed by our inspiring awards program and keynote presentation.

Drug Free America Foundation is honored to welcome Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier as this year’s keynote speaker.
Attorney General Uthmeier has demonstrated exceptional leadership in protecting Florida’s communities and advancing public safety through efforts to combat substance misuse, strengthen prevention initiatives, and address the evolving drug landscape. His commitment to protecting children, families, and communities reflects the very mission of Drug Free America Foundation.
During the evening, Attorney General Uthmeier will also receive the 2026 Betty Sembler Heart of a Hero Award. Named in honor of DFAF co-founder Betty Sembler, this prestigious award recognizes individuals whose courage, compassion, leadership, and commitment to public service have created meaningful and lasting impact.
