Current Legislation Overview Medical Excuse Marijuana A Gateway Drug Fact vs. Fiction Why is Marijuana Harmful? Current Legislation Federal Law

Marijuana decriminalization legislation puts society at risk of drug-related injury, illness, addiction and death. Attempts to soften drug policy will lead to increased addiction and a larger number of youth experimenting with drugs.

These medical marijuana initiatives and bills address protecting the rights, privacy and safety of the user, but that’s only part of the issue. The authors of these measures offer no explanation as to how they intend to keep marijuana cultivators and users from: 1) distributing to minors; 2) driving under the influence; 3) consuming in public places; and 4) endangering others they come in contact with, on the road, in their workplace, etc. These bills intend to criminalize marijuana only as a status offense.

Currently, the highlighted states on the map below are being targeted by drug legalizers through medical marijuana and decriminalization initiatives and legislation. Show your support and stop legalization efforts. Click on each state to see existing, pending or proposed legislation and elected officials.
