How to Establish a Drug Free Workplace Overview How to Establish a Drug Free Workplace Drug Testing in the Workplace Effects of Drugs in the Workplace

Although small businesses are the backbone of the American economy, creating a work environment free of alcohol and drug use can be a daunting task. Many employers mistakenly believe the time and money necessary to establish a drug free workplace program are prohibitively expensive. In fact, the benefits of providing a safe and productive workforce far outweigh the expense and Drug Free America Foundation can assist with drug free workplace education, promotion, implementation, funding and support.

Through its division, Drug Free Workplaces of Tampa Bay, Drug Free American Foundation provides free technical and educational support to owners of small businesses needing assistance in implementing a drug free workplace program.

Our programs are designed to comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and those of other safety-sensitive industries. In some states, businesses that have active drug free workplace programs in place may qualify to receive discounts on their workers’ compensation insurance premiums. Our programs are designed to comply with State Workers’ Compensation guidelines.

Some of the services that are provided are:

  • Policy kit and supporting forms
  • Step-by-step implementation assistance
  • On site and online employee and supervisor training programs
