New Teen Drug Abuse Survey Reveals Disturbing Results

The 17th annual 2012 National Survey of American Attitudes on Substance Abuse, National Survey of American Attitudes on Substance Abuse XVII: Teens, released by the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University found that approximately 9 out of 10 high school students surveyed knew of classmates who used drugs, drank or smoked during a school day.  Other findings included that 91% of teens knew someone who sold marijuana and 24% knew someone who sold prescription drugs. More disturbingly, one-third of high school students reported that it was easy to use drugs, drink or smoke during a school day without getting caught.
